Mondelez

As one of the world's largest snack companies, when Mondelez moved from the North suburbs of Chicago to a new 80,000 square foot Fulton Market office and retail space they wanted to bring their vibrant culture to life.

The result is a modern, open space that serves as Mondelez's global headquarters, designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz with project management and furniture advisory services by CBRE. Corporate Concepts and Knoll were excited to have the opportunity to work with   another client in Fulton Market just blocks from Knoll's flagship showroom.

Within the Mondelez office's vast interior, each department was given its own "neighborhood". In these neighborhoods, residents are given free address to work where they please. Five different typicals were used combining fixed and height-adjustable stations to create these spaces. Unlike the free address areas, the executive floor features assigned workstations. Each executive team member has a height adjustable desk and their own conference room.

The main executive boardroom features a 27-foot table that was locally made by Jones Ward.

In total, the Mondelez office features over 50 meeting rooms, 45 of which also have tables made locally by Jones Ward. The remaining rooms have re-purposed tables to meet Mondelez's sustainability goals.
